For this shot I was just trying to get a picture of the banner in the background but this guy walked in front of my camera. The shot turned out great!

Grey Cup! I headed down to the Stadium right before the game started and grabbed a few photos. There were 5 of these guys and I did take a group photo but this one was the best shot.

Farley makes the cut for "something furry" in the photo hunt. Thanks buddy!

After looking at this shot at home I realized that I should have put the focus on Ethan. He was just walking by when I took the shot. Next time...

My amazing daughter Morgan decided that this is the picture I should post today. The peacock feather is something I found in the basement and its vibrant blues and dazzling browns make it look astonishing.

Sal, Stu and Les' marathon! I tried to get rid of the people behind the group but it was fairly difficult.

This is part of a photo hunt. The first item on the list is money and next will be a picture of a flag. I had a hard time getting an interesting shot of the money and usually after I see the photos larger, i notice a nice detail. For this one I really like the way the detail of the toonie came out and I wish I could have faded the rest of the money better. Next time...

Again, an inside photo but thankfully this one uses an photo rule: rule of thirds. Ethan is positioned off centre with his face along the top third of the frame. And Farley acts as a lead for your eye from the centre of the frame back to Ethan.

Farley and I headed to Nose Hill around 5:00 tonight. The light was great so i thought for sure i would get a nice shot. I also was focusing on shutter speed for the shots with Farley running. This was my favorite! He was really clipping along the path and I think the photo also shows it.

For this shot I was experimenting with the shutter speed. It was Morgan's idea to take the photo of Ethan jumping from the couch. It's pretty amazing that Ethan looks like he's floating! Tv function: check.

I took this photo at Chapters this evening, just after leaving the photography section. i also tried a number of times to crop it but it was fairly difficult to get this photo to work. I did see an older man reading a book and I would have loved to taken his photo; I'm sure I'll get braver!

Okay, this is the first day of my photo challenge. I took this picture last night and decided it was easiest to start. I'm hoping that by taking a picture each night and trying different techniques it will all equal some really amazing shots.
