Welcome to the backyard

Well it took a lot of hard work but we did it (mostly Korey, I held boards and organized the furniture!) So here's a little sample of everything: we put the top deck on last year but just got the furniture to fit it this spring.  We then thought we'd simply move some rock around in the lower yard and that created a huge project. Korey replaced an old ugly lower deck with this beautiful cedar one (middle picture) and we added new gravel to the swing set area and fireplace. We also replaced the fire pit. Nice job...

Every year a robin builds a nest on our eaves. This year she did it again and has been spending her days on the eggs.

The middle picture is my neighbors crab apple tree. I was trying to get pictures of 6 different blooms and it's limited in my yard. I have seen some really pretty blooms in other people yards but I'm just not brave enough to run up someone's lawn!

The lilacs are finally starting to bloom. we have about 4 lilac trees and I love to cut them and bring them into the house because they smell so wonderful.

We're trying to seed the few (actually many) dead patches of grass from Mr. Farley. it was a pretty warm day so Ethan decided to go for it and run through the sprinkler. Brrr!
