Welcome Nascar Fans!

Today was Race Day! It was wonderfully sunny and we got a bright and early start to the races. A lot of fans, Nascar gear and loud noise. Wow! It was a great time and they even updated us a few times on the gold medal hockey game.

Technically I took these photos on Sunday but since I set out to get two different types of photos (mirror image post and this one) I think it's okay.

Love is in the air

Tonight the kids and I tried out long exposure photography. We tried drawing hearts in the air with a little light. Like anything that seems as if it would be a breeze to do took a lot of technique and shots. you really need an external flash to make this technique work perfect but we had a great time working on it with just the long exposure. He's what we got!

And one that Ethan made with just himself and his pumpkin flashlight.

Vancouver 2010

 

Morgan and Robyn headed up to Canada Olympic Park tonight for some snowboarding. When I dropped the girls off I had them stand on the "medals podium" they had at the entrance. Robyn won the gold and Miss Morgan took the silver in snowboarding!

Out to the Movies

Morgan was getting ready to go to the movies with her friend Robyn. Any outing now takes a lot of prep, hair, make up...but it looks like lots of fun. And I enjoyed getting ready to go out to the movies with my friends when I was 13, and I still do!

Ethan asked for it!

It was time for Farley to have a bath so I asked the kids to help. Morgan had better things to do and Ethan asked if he could get in with Farley so...why not. Farley never likes to take a bath but Ethan had a great time in there!

So I have to do a "potrait" shot for the February photo hunt. I totally misread this and saw "self portrait" which I totally dreaded but thought I'd have a little fun with. I just started out taking my photo in the mirror and then went totally crazy with the photo editing which is why I have flawless skin (mine is quite close to flawless anyway!) and blue eyes. It was fun...
